Eyebrow lift in Switzerland - Reopening the eyes and rejuvenating the upper face
A droopy or heavy look is not always due to the upper eyelids themselves. In many cases, it’s rather a progressive drooping of the eyebrows that changes the expression of the eyes, giving a tired, sad or stern look.
The brow lift restores tension to the forehead, raises the natural position of the eyebrows and refreshes the eyes without altering facial expressions.
Why do eyebrows droop over time?
Ageing of the frontal area is multifactorial:
- Natural gravity and tissue relaxation,
- Repeated muscle contractions (frowning, expressions),
- Smoking, sun exposure, loss of skin tone,
- Genetic or hormonal factors.
Over time, the eyebrows droop, compressing the eye opening and accentuating forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines and crow’s feet.
When should a brow lift be considered?
This procedure is indicated if you :
- Feel your eyes appear heavier or tired,
- Have drooping upper eyelids without marked excess skin,
- Enhance your eyebrows for a more luminous, dynamic look.
Eyebrow lift is also a sustainable solution for people who want an alternative or complement to treatment with botulinum toxin (Botox®).
Customized approach: women and men
The ideal eyebrow position varies according to gender:
- In women, a naturally arched eyebrow, slightly above the eye socket, is desirable.
- Inmen, the eyebrow tends to be straight, level with or slightly above the orbital rim.
Dr. Mehdi-Sébastien BECK adapts every gesture to the patient’s facial morphology for a natural, harmonious result that respects expression.
The different eyebrow lift techniques
Depending on your situation, there are several possible approaches:
- Classic forehead lift
Surgery performed in a clinic, under general or local anaesthetic, with re-tensioning of the skin and forehead muscles, and overall repositioning of the eyebrows.
- Direct mini-lifting
Indicated in cases of significant localized ptosis, this lighter procedure involves making a small incision concealed above the eyebrow to effectively lift it. Performed under local anaesthetic, it leaves a fine scar that is generally virtually invisible in the long term.
- Botox® (non-surgical alternative)
For milder cases, botulinum toxin treatment can :
- Smooth out forehead, glabella and crow’s feet wrinkles,
- Subtly lift eyebrows, especially in younger patients or to prevent sagging.

After the operation
- A follow-up appointment is scheduled within 48 hours of surgery.
- Edema and ecchymosis may appear for about ten days.
- Submental compression is not usually necessary unless a facelift is combined.
- Rest is recommended for the first 48 hours.
Results are visible quickly and become more refined in the weeks that follow, with a more open, relaxed and expressive look.
